Hello to all.
I'm an avid outdoorsman, spending a large portion of time "out there" roaming the wild and wide open spaces. I live in the western region of the Edwards Plateau, deep in the Texas Hill Country. Much of my photography is simply doing what I love to do.
I was introduced to photography, many years ago, at a Grade School sponsored photography/film development program. I shot 35mm film through the years, leaning on Vivitar 400/SL and Canon A1 bodies. A lot of my focus, during these years, centered around my experiences served in the US Coast Guard (20 years). Most of this early film stock is now un-useable. I certainly wished, the digital world we have now, was available then. I transitioned over into digital photography the moment Canon released their 350D. I'm very comfortable shooting film or digital gear in manual mode.
I find the challenges posed with closing the distance, pursuing wildlife photography, is an absolute hoot for me! I never know, from day to day, what my lens will bring or what my eyes will see.
