Agree with thingy.

Papers will also have different results on different printers. I've owned and used many different photo printers and papers that produce great results on one printer will only produce ok results on other printers.

Plus, if your printer isn't that great to begin with, it won't matter what paper you use. And on the other hand, if the printer is great to begin with, pictures printed on regular bond paper will still look stellar as evidenced on the Canon IPF8000 printer I use at work.
