No way to zoom during an exposure with my cameras (just one more reason to upgrade, hehe!), but there's always the "human actuated zoom"
and this variation on the idea.
One second, f/5.6, fired the flash at the start of the exposure to "freeze" the subject, then moved the camera closer as smoothly as I could as the exposure happened. The lines aren't perfectly straight but I liked how it turned out.
