Default Guidelines for Tutorial Area - Please Read Before Posting

Welcome to the Tutorials section of the DPS forums.

The purposes of this area of our forums are twofold.

Firstly - it's a place for members who have learned something about digital photography to share their lessons and teach the rest of us how to do some aspect of photography.

Secondly - we hope to use some of the best tutorials posted here in this section on the Digital Photography School Blog so that a wider audience than just our immediate member community can benefit from what you are learning.

A Few Guidelines:

What To Write About
Your tutorials and tips can be on any aspect of digital photography including:

• 'How to' posts on different types of photography (eg, 'How to Photograph a Tennis Match' or '10 Tips for Wedding Photographers'
• Gear Related Tutorials
• Photoshop or Post Production Tutorials and How To articles
• Composition or Technique tutorials

Really anything that you're learning about photography goes.

Self Promotion
Feel free to include a little biographical information and a link to your own site, flickr account, blog etc at the bottom of your tutorial. We appreciate you taking the time to share a tutorial with us and would love to share with our readers other work that you do - however please keep the posts you make primarily about the learning and not about the 'selling' of you. Readers are more likely to check out who you are if you help them :-)

Copyright
If you enter a tutorial here we reserve the right to use it on the DPS blog but will not use it in any other forum or publication without your permission. If we use it on the blog we will use any biographical information that you provide and link to your blog/site/flickr account. We'll credit you as the author and are only too happy to send some traffic your way as a thank you for posting.

Moderation
As this is a new area of our forum and we're still learning how it will be used - new threads will be moderated before going public. This means that there may be delays once your tutorial has been submitted. Thanks for your patience with this.

Please only post original content that is actually yours - don't repost other people's work here.
