Default Caramel Macchiato

I think this is my first time post, or at least after a long time
In this picture I'm trying to compose my shot as such that the viewer could see that it is a caramel macchiato, hence the caramel flowing on the side of the glass.

But somehow, I feel that there's something wrong or missing or that these pictures can be improved.
My question is: which of the 2 pictures you like better and any idea on how to capture "caramel macchiato" in photo?

Cheers
