I agree 100%. Many of these need to be taken in "soft light", overcast days...unfortunately those are not the days that are so enjoyable to wander!
When I first started this I was just getting back into photography and had a minimal kit. Now I'm better equipped and I have the necessary filters for this as well as a bit more more experienced with what I want to achieve.
Also note that most of the pics had no post done to them, just conversion so I could put them up...
