Composing a shot
I was organizing my bookmarks, and came across a number of links on tutorials and advice about composition. If you ever wanted to know the basics (or more) about composition, these are some good starting points.
Photography Composition Articles Library
(really, more articles than you could ever want to read on the subject)
Geometrical Composition Guides
(guides that you can use in photoshop as an overlay on your picture to see how it fits on your picture... I think I got this link from someone in these forums)
How to Compose a Photograph
(Article by Alain Briot, a landscape photographer with a Masters in Fine Arts and who is working on his PhD)
Gloria Hopkins Articles
(includes some articles on composition, but also a few other interesting articles)
Nikonians Composition 101
(Explains 5 tips for composition and shows examples of why they work)
Hope these help
