Haven't done one of these for a while. Here is my attempt:
Opened the photo in Camera Raw. Warmed it up a bit using Colour Temp(+13) and brightened it up by increasing the exposure(+1.45). Used Recovery(32) to clamp down the highlights. Added a little fill light(9) and boosted the blacks slightly (8). Also added some clarity(38) and vibrance (20).
Took it into Photoshop. Did a levels colour correction (which took away much of the warmth I added in ACR LOL). Changed to LAB mode. In a curves adjustment layer, steepened the a and b curves to boost the colour a bit and lightened in the L channel to bring out some of the shadow detail. Changed back to RGB. Used the sponge tool to get rid of some colour stuff in the highlight edges (not very exact). Applied a medium contrast curves adjustment layer. Added a new layer (soft light mode) and drew a black to transparent gradient from the top to about halfway to darken the sky up a bit more. Finally added a slight vignette but duplicating the photo, change to Multiply blend mode, making a highly feathered selection just in from the edges of the photo and deleting the middle. Phew....hope you like it.
