ENVIRONMENT: Weekend Photography Challenge
It’s time for another weekend photography challenge. This weekend the theme of the challenge is ‘environment’.
Feel free to interpret it as you wish – you might want to try to take a picture that makes a point about environmental issues, you may just like to shoot your own environment (the place you live) or you might like to get out and shoot an inspirational picture of one of your favourite places to visit.
Once you’ve taken your site – upload it to your favourite photo sharing site, tag it with #DPSENVIRONMENT so others can follow along (Linking back to this page might also help others know what you’re doing so that they can share in the fun) , then come back to the comments section below and share a link to your photo.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!
update: you can now share an image IN the comment (ie have it appear). Just look for the option under the comment field where it says ‘You can add images to your comment by clicking here’ and then enter a URL to where the image is found on your Flickr Account (it needs to be the image to the link – not the link to a page where the image is).

In a masochistic sort of way, I had the absolute pleasure of shooting a friend’s wedding this weekend. The venue was The Green Cathedral (near Forster, New South Wales), an open air cathedral on the shore of Wallis Lake.
From a photog perspective, mix an open air venue, under the fronds of the local cabbage tree palms, on the eastern shore of a lake in mid-afternoon on a VERY sunny day, ADD the fact that the wind was too strong for any sort of light diffuser to stay on the ground and TOP IT OFF with a (beautiful) reception illuminated by candles and fairy lights and you have a recipe that kept me on my exposure toes!!
A couple of images from this beautiful day……..
