Digital Photography Tips from Around the Web – 23 Jan 2007
While we like to think we post a good tip or two here at DPS – there are a lot of great digital photography tips posted online so I thought it was about time we posted links to a few. I’ll try to make this a weekly column highlighting some of the better ones each week:
- DIY Photography writes The Super-Small Bottle-Cap Tripod a helpful way to make a tripod for your camera out of everyday objects
- Photodoto shares a Quick photo sharpening tip – definitely quick – but effective
- Photojojo posts a great 15 minute tutorial on how to make your own Photo Snow Globes – fun!
- Shooting the Kids has a good tutorial examining White Balance
- PCIN writes a tutorial on Photography at Home.
- Macro Art in Nature has a great tip on using artistic blurs in your macro images which is a great technique that I’m going to try out for sure.
Got a Tip to Share? – I’ll try to do a post like this on a weekly basis. If you have a digital photography site and want to be featured use my contact form to shoot me a note.
If you’ve got a tip but no where to share it – head over to the DPS forums where we’d love to hear it.

Ok I’ve taken several basketball pictures but I’m looking for a great way of taking that breath taking picture of my daughter out on the court. She is a freshman in College and I really don’t know if she will be playing next year and I really want that one great picture of her before she throws in the towel. Can you give me some ideas. Thanks
