wonderful photos and obviously a popular subject to choose.

I don't much chance with rain shots since here in the desert it seems to only rain on one day of the year and was fortunate enough to catch it in my yard.

morsmordre, it looks to me like the raindrops were photoshopped into the picture. maybe not but that is my guess. I say that because there are no ripples in the water. One, maybe two people are carrying umbrellas. Perhaps the rain had just ended or there was a light drizzle. It's a good question as I wondered the same!

This article on photography in the rain is a joy to look and read ! I am in Mizoram state of northeast India, having tropical rains every year. So , rain is part of life here. However, I have not tried to take photographs with my cannon 40D. I actually had devised a rain cover for my camera 2 years ago,but had not tried it in the rain. May be next year I also will try it. Thankd alot .

@Morsmordre - I suspected that something wasn't right about the third one too because if you notice, there isn't any droplet rings in any of the puddles. All the puddles are smooth as glass. So with your observation and mine, I'm becoming more convinced that the falling rain was added in PhotoShop and wasn't part of the original photo. Not that I think less of the photo now... I still think it a spectacular photo.
