10 Minutes Walk from Your Door: Weekly Photography Challenge
This week’s photography challenge is to photograph and share an image that you took within 10 minute walk of your front doorstep.
The topic was suggested by Tracey Norton Frederick on our Facebook page and was ‘liked’ by quite a few others – so we thought we’d give it a go.
A 10 minute walk should give you plenty of radius to cover and depending on where you live should provide a variety of shots of different parts of the world (it’ll be fascinating to see the diversity within our community).
Once you’ve taken your ’10 Minute Walk’ Images – choose your best 1-2, upload them to your favourite photo sharing site and either share a link to them or – embed them in the comments using the our new tool to do so.
If you tag your photos on Flickr, Instagram, Twitter or other sites with Tagging tag them as #DPS10MINWALK to help others find them. Linking back to this page might also help others know what you’re doing so that they can share in the fun.
Also – don’t forget to check out some of the great shots posted in last weeks After Dark challenge.

This kind of mirrors an old DPS “10 minute” assignment.
With so many street signs in Germany, it’s hard to miss out on this one!

My home base is at Emmen, The Netherlands. For my work I stay at Paris 3 days per week near Gare du Nord. This is a paradise for street photography. Within 10 minutest of my hotel-door you will find these street scenes.

This is from our flower bed. It was here when we bought the place, hidden away in a quite obscure spot, and was pretty much our favorite from the beginning. I’ve moved it twice to get a more prominent position. Hope you enjoy it.

I did something similar the other day, except possibly a little more challenging.
Back garden, 10 shots, 1 lens, completely manual, no metering, couldn’t focus to infinity… (M42 lens on old nikon), try and get all 10 shots to match up in tone and style, all B&W, all 8×10 landscape. I shot for about 20 minutes, and edited for less than an hour.

Thank you a lot for providing individuals with remarkably remarkable chance to read articles and blog posts from this blog. It can be very pleasurable and also jam-packed with a great time for me personally and my office mates to visit your site particularly 3 times every week to read through the fresh issues you have got. And of course, I’m also actually pleased with all the incredible knowledge you give. Certain two ideas in this article are really the most efficient I’ve had.
